Applicants should provide the following documents for the agency when applying for handing various computer software copyright registration procedures.

1. Fill in the computer software copyright application form sealed (signed) by the applicant as required.

2. Applicant identification (copy)

(1) Identification of a legal person or other organizations – Business entity: Business license duplicate; Legal person of public institution: Public institution legal person code certificate; Other organizations: Approval from the local civil administration organ or competent department.

Taiwan legal persons shall provide the business license notarial certificate (issued by local court or related institutions); legal persons in Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions shall provide the business license copy and notarial certificate; and foreign companies shall provide the business license copy and notarial certificate (certified by the Embassy the People’s Republic of China is stationed in)

(2) Identification of a natural person – Copy of the Chinese citizen ID card (two-sided copying) or copies of other certificates; foreign individual shall submit passport copy or personal identification authentication certificates (certified by the Embassy the People’s Republic of China is stationed in)

[Note] The natural person also shall provide non-service software development certificate (with a work unit) or non-service software development guarantee; all certificates and documents shall be in a foreign language with Chinese translation attached.

3. Material identification

(1) Source program (Instructions or statement sequence compiled in computer language) for consecutive 30 pages respectively by previous and back, totaling 60 pages (all shall be submitted if the source program is less than 60 pages). Each page of the source program shall be not less than 50 lines (except the end page). Mark page number on the upper right corner (1-60).

(2) Document (for example, select the user manual, design instruction, operation instruction optionally), 30 consecutive pages respectively by previous and back, totaling 60 pages (all shall be submitted if the source program is less than 60 pages). Each page shall be not less than 30 lines (except the end page). Mark page number on the upper right corner (1-60).

[Note] For software copyright registration handled, the party shall issue the software copyright registration certificate (photocopy) without identifying materials in case of the inheritance, transfer or acceptance of the copyright.

4. Software ownership certificate entrusting development: -- Cooperative development: Contract or agreement; software entrusting development agreement of contract; assign mission development: Assign a mission and software development assignment book; software developed by use of software of the others: Permission

5. Version description

6. Version description shall be submitted in case of applying for original software registration with high version of software (V1.0 or higher) or other symbols as version number.
